Eligibility
The Collaborative does not impose participant eligibility requirements. However, participants must be qualified to enroll in credit classes at Western Nevada College.
Costs
The Collaborative does not charge fees to employers or participants. Payment of Western Nevada College's student fees is as determined by each employer's policy. Fee and payment information can be obtained at the college's website: www.wnc.edu.
Participating in the Manufacturing Foundations Certificate Program
- Participants entering the program will submit an application providing basic student and employer information.
- If the employer is new to the program, a member of the Manufacturing Collaborative Advisory Committee or a designated representative will meet in person with the employer to discuss the program.
- The employer will be responsible for progress review with their participating employee(s).
- The Advisory Committee does not impose a time limit on participation in the program. Program completion timelines are an employer option.
- Upon completion of the program curriculum, the participant will submit an Application for Certificate to the Collaborative Advisory Committee. The college counseling department will confirm to the Advisory Committee that the certificate candidate has completed each of the required courses with a grade of C or better. The Advisory Committee will not have access to official student records.The Committee will issue the Manufacturing Foundations Certificate to the qualified participant. The Certificate will be signed by a member of the Committee and the participant’s employer representative.
- Program record files will be maintained by Western Nevada College’s Department of Workforce Development.
